At Monday night's party for the finale of The Hills, the cast was buzzing about all the scandals, fighting and the cattiness! Stephanie Pratt, Hills newbie and sister to show star Spencer Pratt, opened up about her friendship with with her brother and Heidi's #1 enemy, Lauren Conrad.

"I don't see this as I'm choosing Lauren over my family," she explained. "I see this like this is Heidi and Lauren's fight and I've become friends with Lauren. We have a genuine friendship now. I understand why Heidi is mad but I don't get why Spencer is so involved and why they are such a united front."
And it appears that this tension has driven a wedge into Stephanie's relationship with her brother. "I haven't heard from Spencer and Heidi in three weeks," she revealed. "The last time we spoke was when we filmed for the finale three weeks ago."

And what about the rumors that Hills star Lauren had the terrible twosome banned from the party? "No. I have no control over the guest list whatsoever. This is an MTV decision."

Britney in another accident!



Britney Spears just rear-ended a car on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood.

Brit hit a red Ford Explorer, driven by a lady. No injuries, as far as we know. Britney didn't even get out of the car. Her bodyguard got out and talked to the other woman.

The red Explorer Brit hit is now following her back to Britney's home.

Britney was stopped at a light and, for some reason, accelerated when the light was still red, hitting the Explorer stopped in front of her. No visible damage.

Neverland Ranch foreclosure auction canceled

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A foreclosure auction scheduled this week for Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch was canceled after an investment company bought the loan.
Colony Capital LLC spokeswoman Caroline Luz said the loan purchase was recently made by Colony and the auction slated for Wednesday was off, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday.
In a statement released Sunday by a Jackson spokesman who identified himself as B. Michael, the singer said he was "pleased with recent developments involving Neverland Ranch ... that would allow me to focus on the future."
Jackson had gone into default on the $24.5 million he owes on the 2,500-acre spread in Santa Barbara County. He has struggled to pay his debts in recent years after his financial empire crumbled following his arrest in 2003 on child molestation charges. A jury later acquitted him and he hasn't lived at Neverland for the past two years.
Jackson's attorney, L. Londell McMillan, declined to comment to The Associated Press on Sunday. A call by the AP to Colony Capital was referred to a public relations firm.

Jackson bought the property in 1988 and turned it into a miniature amusement park with rides, including a merry-go-round, Ferris wheel and roller coaster, and a zoo.

'Degrassi' star Adamo Ruggiero to host talent show 'The Next Star'

TORONTO — Actor Adamo Ruggiero, who stars on "Degrassi: The Next Generation," has been tapped to host an upcoming YTV talent show called "The Next Star."

Auditions begin May 17 in Halifax. Would-be contestants can also try out in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Calgary.

After the auditions, six kids will attend "star school" and viewers will ultimately decide who receives a recording contract.

Musician Suzie McNeil, from "Rockstar: INXS," and songwriter Christopher Ward are among those who will mentor the contestants.

"The Next Star" is set to premiere July 18.

Bizarrely, Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle looks set to open a chain of candle shops in the US.

The singer, who currently lives in Los Angeles, already has several business ventures outside of her usual pop group day job - she launched a Mexican restaurant and owns a handful of properties.

Speaking of her candle shop chain, Coyle says: "I'm so excited about it. LA's the perfect place for it too as people love to get pampered. I've already got my brother-in-law to create the decor."

"He's an artist, and does amazing canvasses" she continued, "so it will be a proper family business - and really personal. I've got my mum to run it while I'm away working with the band."

But will Nadine be leaving music for her new found love of wax? "There's no way I'm quitting the band." she says, "The candle shop and my businesses are something else I love to do. I'm having such a laugh with the band."

ShockTillYouDrop.com is reporting (via BlogdeCine) that David Cronenberg (A History of Violence, The Fly) is a contender to direct the remake of Nacho Vigalondo's Timecrimes. The original Spanish-language film Los Cronocrimenes is a noirish thriller about a man who travels back in time half an hour to prevent a serious crime. Timothy J. Sexton wrote the script for the new version.

Vigalondo expresses he would love to see either Kurt Russell or Bruce Willis in the leading role of a man caught in a time travel conundrum and goes back in time a half hour to prevent a crime. For the part of the scientist helping this dude along in his quest, Vigalondo says he is partial to Adam Brody (Jennifer's Body).

It's unknown how serious the talks are between the remake's producers and Cronenberg or how far along they are if such talks exist.

Two-Hour Finale to End Series' Run on ABC

Look for Boston Legal to exit the ABC schedule in December with a two-hour finale, according to a source familiar with the series' pickup by ABC. The network has not yet announced the date for the series finale.

The drama, which will be going into its fifth season, is moving to Mondays at 10 p.m. for what will be its final season on the air. That December date will have to be in pencil, though, since if there is a strike by actors, delivery dates would almost certainly change.

Boston Legal had been on the bubble, with ABC moving it out of its Tuesday 10 p.m. slot to Wednesday nights to make room for Women's Murder Club.

Boston Legal creator David E. Kelley made sure the network would promote that move by working it into the opening of a recent episode in which the characters talked at length about moving from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Kelley will also have a new drama on ABC, Life on Mars, which is actually about a time-traveling cop who winds up in the 1970s. But while he will be executive producer on that show, he will reportedly leave day-to-day oversight to others as he shepherds the last season of a show insiders said is particularly special to him.
